37 Government Contracting Leaders to be Honored in LeadersNest’s FedFem Program
Washington, D.C. (October 16, 2018) LeadersNest is pleased to announce the 2018 FedFem Award Winners. The FedFem awards salute high-impact women-owned businesses (WOBs) and executives of the government contracting (govcon) industry. This is one of the most complex and competitive business sectors in the world. This is the first awards program in the DMV that recognizes WOBs and female govcon executives, that are divided in their specific set-asides or sectors that they work in, within the government contracting industry.

These winners blend their entrepreneurial courage and federal government support that positively impact the industry, national economy, and the local marketplace. This list is comprised of 37 women whose titles that range from founders, executives, and CEOs of government contracting companies. They collectively generate more than $1.2 billion in annual revenue and employ more than 12,000 individuals.

The FedFem Awards celebration on October 25, 2018 is an expected sell-out event where an exclusive guest list of executives and business leaders will gather to celebrate at ecofy located at 1899 L Street NW, Washington, D.C. The event will kick off with a networking reception, followed by a fun awards ceremony that will announce all of the winners and the categories in which they represent: 8(a), Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned, Small Business (EDWOSB), HUBZone, Minority-Owned, Native American, Service Disabled Veteran (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned, Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Women-Owned Business, Women in Combat, Women in Cyber, Women in Defense, Women in Healthcare, Women in HR, and Women in IT/Tech.
